In conjunction with Sustainability Week, LikeEat invites you to dine at the Zero Waste Concept Dinner. Inspired by London’s “zero waste” restaurant, Silo, LikeEat will be creating a three-course menu that uses all ingredients to the fullest potential. Please join us in an environmentally friendly dining experience where reusable and upcycled materials are used to minimize waste. The food and service provided by the LikeEat team promises to be an amazing and a memorable evening.

Join us for lunch, presentation, and workshop about the impact of food with alumna startup Beelong, which calculates the environmental and nutritional impact of restaurant’s menus and display the results to consumers. Lunch will be included and this session is limited to 25 participants.

By giving back to the EHL community through skills-based volunteering, our current EHL Campus Singapore students who are also yoga and meditation enthusiasts themselves, will be conducting after-class guided yoga and self-meditation sessions for the EHL community to cultivate more self-love, self-confidence and self-worth.

In support of Singapore’s efforts towards zero waste – EHL students will be partaking in a 30-minutes hands-on DIY and upcycling workshop to encourage them that taking small steps to reduce our contribution to the landfill as individuals and households can go a long way.

“Plogging” is a Swedish concept combining jogging and waste collection. Developed in Scandinavia, it has rapidly spread to the main international cities, forming today an important network for raising awareness on the issue of urban waste.

The SDG Agenda is a plan of action for people, planet, and prosperity. In this short workshop we will stimulate action over the next years in areas of critical importance for humanity and the planet and specifically for EHL.

The manufacturing of a computer, a tablet or a smartphone represents about 80% of the global impact of these devices over their entire life cycle. why! Open Computing has taken up the challenge of proposing computers that can work for 10 years instead of 5 years on average, dividing these impacts by two. The challenge was met, as 90% of laptops sold in 2013 are still working. But the offer still remains largely at odds with the market... Come and learn more about the challenges faced by the electronic industry in a session led by François Marthaler, former member of the Vaud State Council and founder of why! open computing SA.

The EHL Finance Club, a student-led committee with the aim to bridge the finance industry and undergraduate students, has its own 2 cents to add to the agenda for sustainability week.
Through the eyes of private equity professionals, the FC brings you new insights on sustainable investments. Together with guest speakers, the program will be kicked off by a panel discussion, followed by a Q&A for your burning questions. And because it wouldn’t be an FC event without networking opportunities, you are invited to join the apero with like-minded enthusiasts.
