The organizations that choose VET Licensed by EHL are building something that lasts. A team that performs, a workplace people choose, a local workforce ready for what comes next. VET Licensed by EHL brings EHL-standard training directly into your operation, delivered on the job by your own people. Whether you're developing a country's tourism sector or raising the standard of an operation that's already running, the decision is the same: invest in the people behind the experience.
A new tourism district, a national hospitality strategy, infrastructure going up fast… and no qualified local workforce ready to staff it when the doors open. You need more than a training program. You need a pipeline: people with real qualifications, trained in your context, ready before opening day.
VET Licensed by EHL turns that challenge into something you can report on. Real jobs created. Real skills acquired. Real economic mobility for the communities your tourism strategy is meant to serve. This is social policy with a measurable return.
Every team has room to grow: new hires finding their footing, seasonal staff building speed, experienced people sharpening their craft. The answer isn't more hands on deck. It's training that's built into the way your operation already runs, without pulling anyone off the floor to get it.
VET Licensed by EHL puts you in a different category: not just an employer, but a place people build careers. That changes who applies, how long they stay, and what your guests experience.
Your staff graduate with an EHL-issued professional diploma, a credential backed by the world's #1-ranked hospitality school, recognized and trusted by the industry globally.
That's what makes it worth having. And worth working for.
Train your people well and the effects compound. Guests come back. Investors commit. Operators trust you. The same logic applies internally. A well-trained team works with confidence. They don't burn out, don't get overwhelmed, and don't leave.
That's a workforce that grows with you, instead of one you constantly rebuild.
Switzerland's vocational model runs on one principle: theory and practice happen in parallel. Your staff learn on the floor, in real situations, while the operation keeps running. Three streams: Culinary, F&B Service, and Hotel. One standard: EHL's.
That's what makes it one of the most respected training models in the world.
We Analyze and Understand Your Needs
We adjust the path, not the standard.
The curriculum is standardized. That's what makes the certificate worth holding. Every graduate, everywhere, is trained to the same EHL benchmark. But no two rollouts look the same, because no two organizations are.
We start by analyzing your reality:
Your operational constraints
Your regulatory environment
Your culture, mission and values
Your brand and its standards
From there, we shape the program around what you actually need.
We Stay With You, All the Way Through
Your internal experts become your permanent training asset.
EHL experts train your internal trainers first:
Duration: over two months, including five days in person
Format: blended program, supported with online learning
Once certified, your trainers take over, delivering the program independently, certified for five years, renewable.
Through our learning platform, your trainers and their learners get ongoing access to relevant EHL learning resources: curriculum, content, videos, and assessment tools.
Not a one-time handoff. Not a framework you're left to build on alone. We stay involved through regular touchpoints, progress meetings, quality reviews, academic reviews, and capability-building sessions, for as long as it takes. The certification is EHL's. The trainers are yours. The commitment is ours.
From Eight Months To Deploy. Worth Every One of Them.
Not fast. Rigorous. There's a difference.
We won't sell you a faster timeline than the real one. Setting up a credible, EHL-certified program takes time:
Adapting delivery to your context
Training your trainers
Validating that your setup meets EHL standards
But this isn't a program built from scratch. The curriculum, the content, the assessment tools, all of it already exists, proven across the markets where VET Licensed by EHL runs today. What takes eight months minimum to build isn't invention. It's making sure it fits you, properly, before you run it on your own.
If you're building something that will still be running in ten years, that timeline isn't a cost. It's the reason it works.
VET Licensed by EHL is structured around three professional streams: Culinary, F&B Service, and Hotel. Each is built on three certificate levels of six months. Every level is developed as an equivalent to EQF standards, so progression is transparent from foundation through to advanced practice.
| Level | Culinary | F&B Service | Hotel |
|---|---|---|---|
| Foundation | 6 months | 6 months | 6 months |
| Intermediate | 6 months | 6 months | 6 months |
| Advanced | 6 months | 6 months | 6 months |
| Already working in the trade ? | The Recognition of Experiential Learning route lets professionals with hands-on experience earn certification in 2 weeks, without repeating the full program. |
Everything across all three streams, all certificate levels, and all learning outcomes, in one document.
Each of the three levels: Foundation, Intermediate, Advanced earns its own EHL certificate.
Once all three levels are completed, students earn the EHL Professional Diploma.
Every credential is issued digitally and secured, with a competency passport tracking what's been achieved.
The selection isn't a gate. It's the start of the commitment. Due diligence goes both ways. Before we begin, we take the time to understand your organization to make sure we're the right fit for what you're building, and that we can genuinely support you through it.
What drives us is a responsibility to give back to an industry we've been part of since 1893. That's a belief we hold: knowledge is worth passing on, and the industry gets stronger every time someone shares what they know with passion. Excellence isn't something we impose from a rulebook. It comes from actually caring about the craft, and about the people who carry it forward. That's what we recognize in a partner like you, and it's what makes this a collaboration, not a transaction.
We train the people who make everything else possible. EHL's reputation was built at the top of the industry. But hospitality doesn't run on managers alone, it runs on the chef who shows up at 5am, the housekeeper who turns a room in eighteen minutes, the waiter who reads a table without being asked. VET Licensed by EHL exists for them too. We cover the full pathway: from first job, to supervisory role, to further education if they choose to go further. Whatever role your organization needs to develop, kitchen, service, rooms, front office, we can train it, at the standard it deserves. One partner, one standard, across every hospitality role your organization needs to grow.
Whether you have a fully formed project, an operation that needs fixing, or simply a question you haven't found the answer to yet.
The EHL benchmark is consistent, that's what guarantees the certificate means the same thing whether it's awarded in New Delhi, Phu Quoc, Athens, or anywhere else the program is delivered. How the curriculum is delivered is adapted to your operational constraints, your cultural context, your local legal requirements, and your organization's identity. We standardize the quality. You shape the delivery.
No. Graduates receive an EHL-issued Professional Diploma, not a Swiss government document. EHL controls the quality standards, validates the instructors, and issues the certification. In every market where the program is delivered, the EHL name carries practical weight that most countries recognize.
Yes. Your own subject-matter experts, a senior chef, a veteran front office manager, can be integrated into the delivery once the appropriate framework is in place. Over time, that expertise becomes a permanent internal asset. The program doesn't replace your best people. It gives them a structure to pass on their expertise and passion.
Your experienced people are exactly who we build the program around, they become the certified trainers who deliver it. What EHL provides is the curriculum, the pedagogical structure, the assessment framework, and the credential that makes the training credible to your staff, your recruits, and your stakeholders. Your expertise runs the program. EHL's standards give it standing.
For some partners, yes. Hotel groups and training centers with the operational capacity to offer training to the wider market can use the VET Licensed by EHL license to train staff from other organizations, turning an internal training program into an external offer and a revenue stream. This is discussed case by case during the partnership scoping process.
EHL stays involved through regular touchpoints, progress meetings, quality reviews, academic reviews, and capability-building sessions. As often as you need, a new Train-the-Trainer certification course ensures your incoming trainers are certified to the same standard. The trainer certification is valid for five years and can only be issued by EHL, your certified trainers deliver the program, but the credential stays with us. That ongoing relationship is what keeps the license worth holding.
No. VET Licensed by EHL is designed for the full operational workforce, kitchen, service, rooms, front office, housekeeping, across all hotel categories. The program is as relevant for a mid-scale group building a consistent service baseline as it is for a luxury property maintaining a five-star standard. Excellence in hospitality is not exclusive to one market segment.
Every partnership is scoped individually, the investment depends on the operational context of your organization and your ambitions. The best way to get a clear picture is to start a conversation with our team. We'll assess your needs and give you a transparent overview of what's involved.
